How to Jingobid!
Help > F.A.Q.
How is Jingobid different from other auctions?

Jingobid works like a traditional auction with a twist - the bidders have a limited number of bids they can place and the auction price moves up by small amounts. This means the winning bidder often pays an incredibly low price

What are Beginner Auctions?

Beginner Auctions are only visible to users who have not won any Auction yet (Bidpacks won in Auctions and purchases in Dropsales don't count). They are there to give them a better chance to win, without competing against experienced users. If you have not yet won any items in Auctions, you can find them in your Account page and by selecting Beginner Auctions from the Categories dropdown menu.

Why is there a limit on the amount of times I can win?

Jingobid wants as many users as possible to win and benefit. As some users have become very good at bidding, the number of wins per user per month is restricted. This allows new users a better chance at winning. The limit is reset every month and can be increased by submitting a testimonial with a photo of the user that we publish.

Why do some users have many Bonusbids?

Some users buy many Bids and Jingobid credits everyone who does not win an Auction with 8 Bonusbids for each 30 paid Bids they spent on that Auction. As some users can spend hundreds of Bids on a big item and do not necessarily win it, they end up with many Bonusbids which they can use on other Auctions.

Are the products new?

All products sold on Jingobid are brand new and boxed with full manufacturers warranty. Jingobid only works with reputable suppliers to ensure your full satisfaction

Will the products work in my country?

Although Jingobid is global, we are not a parallel importer. You will receive your product from a regional supplier with local warranty, the correct power supply and region coding for your country. If we exceptionally sell a unique item not normally available in your country, this will be very clearly specified in the description.

What if something breaks?

If a product is delivered to you damaged, you must contact Jingobid immediately and we will arrange to replace it for you. If something stops working later, you have the full manufacturer's warranty and you can ask them for a repair or replacement. Jingobid will be happy to assist you in getting in touch with the manufacturer.

What if the product does not match the description?

At Jingobid we want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you receive a product that does not match the description, you should contact Jingobid immediately and we will ensure you get the right item.

How long do I need to wait?

We aim to deliver within a week of your payment for the item, but occasionally it may take a little longer. If your item has not arrived within 10 working days, you should contact us using the form on the contact page.

How much will you charge for shipping?

We have shipping bands depending on your country and the size of the item. Every Auction and Dropsale will clearly state the cost of shipping under the Delivery/Payment tab.

I want to return an item

Please consult our returns page.

I want to change my registered country

Once you have registered, you cannot change your country of registration. We can only deliver items to the country you specified at registration, otherwise your warranty might be invalidated and you might face customs duties. If you move to a different country, then you will need to create a new account, and register in your new country of residence.

Can I buy on Jingobid?

Anyone with a debit/credit card or paypal account from any country can participate in Jingobid auctions and dropsales. However you must have a delivery address in one of the following countries: mainland USA, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, Singapore, Macau or Hong Kong. This list is growing so please check again if you don't see your country there.

I am having problems registering

After filling out the registration form, you should have received an email asking you to verify your email address. If you did not receive the registration email please check the SPAM folder of your email account. If you are still having problems, please contact us using the form on the contact page, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

I have forgotten my password

If you have forgotten your password, you can go to the login page and click on the link labelled 'forgot your password?'. This will take you to a page where you can create a new password, which will be emailed to your default email account.

Can I have more than one account with Jingobid?

No. Jingobid's rules state that no person is allowed more than one account. Jingobid monitors this and when users are found to have multiple active accounts, these are shut down. Additionally, only one user may register from each household to prevent fraudulent users.

I referred a friend and have not gotten my Bids

Please check that your friend or friends that you have referred to Jingobid have bought Bids on the site. Your Bonusbids will be credited as soon as the person you have referred buys any Bidpack.

Where is Jingobid registered? Who is Jingobid?

Jingobid Ltd. is registered in the UK with it's headquarters in London. Jingobid is a global company and works with local suppliers to provide you the best service wherever you are. We also have local support staff in each region of the world. If you have any further questions about Jingobid please feel free to contact us.

Why did my bid on an Auction not get recorded? Why does the timer sometimes "skip" a second?

If this happens, this is most likely to be due to the fact that your internet connection is too slow. The Auction timer requires your browser to update your browser screen once per second. In order to minimise any disruption of your bidding experience, please make sure that you (or other people using the internet connection in your house) are not downloading any large files, watching movie clips or listening to music online or sending emails with large attachments while you are bidding on Jingobid. If you are experiencing such problems you should also try connecting to the internet using a cable instead of a wireless connection, as wireless networks are often less reliable. Although Jingobid works fine with mobile internet devices (such as the iPhone), you should be aware of the fact that mobile internet is often less reliable than a wired internet connection using home broadband.

To avoid disappointment when bidding manually on Jingobid, please place your Bid while there is still plenty of time left for the Auction to go (don't leave your bidding until the last second). If you want to be certain that your Bid will be placed on time, use our Bidboy functionality. If you have a Bidboy running on an Auction, you can be sure that your Bid will always get registered.
