Scene Detection Technology
Powered by the high algorithm power of DIGIC 4 Digital Image Processor, and coupled with Face Detection Technology, Noise Reduction Technology and Motion Detection Technology, the newly equipped Scene Detection Technology in the new model best demonstrates the power of shooting beauty coming from "Smart Auto" mode. By just pointing your camera to the subject or scene, the camera automatically detects scene conditions and switch to the optimum camera setting for the greatest image. DIGIC 4 Digital Image Processor and 10-megapixel CCD
Digital IXUS 95 IS is equipped with 10.0-megapixel CCD image sensor. Users can record the most detailed and impeccable images for A2 size or above photo printings. The ultra-high megapixel resolution is capable for capturing the tiniest detail in noise-reduced clarity.

Face Detect AiAF Function
The new model features enhanced Face Detect AiAF Technology capable of tracking up to 9 faces. Even for faces in profile or turned at an angle which were once difficult to detect, they can now be quickly identified by the cameras and tracked. The camera can track on an individual in the composition and optimize the focus, white balance, flash and exposure setting, ensuring the best portraits with the most natural and smooth skin tone. Furthermore, through Auto Red-eye Correction function, the cameras can automatically detect “red eyes” in portrait shots and correct them accurately and instantaneously through built-in recovering system during shooting or image playback.

Motion Detection Technology
Motion Detection Technology can automatically detect the moving or static subjects in the picture and adjust for the optimum ISO speed to shoot. When shooting moving subject, the camera will adjust to a higher ISO speed that shorten the time of exposure to minimize camera shake and image blur, while lowering the ISO speed to minimize noise for static subject for clear and sharp images.

i-Contrast Intelligent Contrast Correction
For faces that are backlit or in the shade that the distance exceeded a flash outreach, usually result in bad photos due to the incapability to estimate the light source. With the new i-Contrast function, the cameras can automatically brighten up face and background that are backlit appropriately, promising brightest image even in dark environment.

3x Optical Zoom Lens with Built-in Optical Image Stabilizer (IS)
Digital IXUS 95 IS is equipped with a 3x optical zoom lens, together with the built-in Optical Image Stabilizer (IS) providing an equivalence of approximately 3 steps of camera shake correction in shutter speed. Optical IS can ensure effective control over camera vibration while using tele-lens and provide sharp images and movies.

2.5" PureColor II LCD
It is equipped with a 2.5-inch PureColor II LCD with 230,000-dot resolution that reproduce the most natural image in finer and richer colors. The brightness of PureColor II LCD is 3 times stronger than a regular LCD and provides 10 times of higher contrast ratio that enables to view pictures from the sides. Having a wider viewing angle, the PureColor II LCD not only allows users to shot from different angles, but also allows more people to view the images during playback. PureColor II LCD also features multi-layer coatings to minimize image reflection when viewing under direct sunlight, making it easier to share photos displayed on the LCD. In addition, the LCD has a new coating to resist glare, scratches, and fingerprints.

Direct Printing and Sharing
For photo prints and share without uploading to computer, Digital IXUS 95 IS fully support PictBridge with a dedicated Print/Share button for direct printing and fast file uploads. Both cameras also feature hi-speed USB 2.0 interface for easy sharing of images and videos.
